New Metal Gear Solid Game is Planned

With the launching of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in the rear-view mirror, everyone seems to be up in air with excitement regarding its debut release.  However, it seems that video game publisher Konami is already researching and planning a new game within the franchise despite development still being done on the prior.

Konami is planning on making a large scale investment to create the new Metal Gear Solid video game. Although, it’s unclear whether the company is deciding to create an entirely new studio or continue to work within the current industry environment. If the rumors and speculation are proven to be accurate, it would not be strange if Konami releases an official announcement and/or a trailer in about a year to show-case the new franchise.

In an interview an insider explained that “Kojima is no longer involved in any way with the company”. Now the question that remains is this: if Kojima is not involved then how they will assist in developing a new game after The Phantom Pain has been released. A game that’s created without the involvement of the creator of the series may face some difficulties in the markets, though speculation shows that perhaps they will release this title under a new company to officially sever ties.

If this is the case and a brand new title is entering development soon, a big investment in research and development is required and thus the logic of thinking that the publisher will probably have to set up an entirely new studio seems sound.

Additionally, according to rumors The LA Studio which created Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is closed now.  The Phantom Pain is offered on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and the PC and shipped more than 5 million units all over the world. Just after the releasing of the game it has also received some updates which delivered a range of new content and also fixed many issues that the gamer’s community has been facing.

Stay with us to get to know about this brand new title which is still in the planning phase! We’re excited to see where development takes the franchise (whether new or old) and hope to have you along for the ride!

Hasn’t that happened in the past with some big titles like Halo? Where they switch developers to give a new feel for the game? I think it was Halo. I’ll have to google it.
