Call of Duty: WWII Promising Seasonal Game

November 3rd Call of Duty WWII hit the market, and I personally didn’t see much hype. The other day I had a friend recommend it to me after my quick Destiny 2 burn out and I was pleasantly surprised.

The campaign allows you to hear Private “Red Daniels and the U.S. First Infantry Division’s story through great movie-like cut scenes. Here’s the first 15 min of the game, and if you’re not intrigued, then this isn’t the game for you.

Now that you’ve seen what’s in store and you’re excited- here’s what else you need to know.

The campaign is going to last about six and a half hours which is typical for a Call of Duty game.  You’ll play through fun and engaging content with some typical Call of Duty aesthetics and some that have changed.  The mechanics and play-style feel nostalgic, yet improved.  After the campaign you can look forward to the multiplayer mode to keep you engaged in this game. They key to being successful and building up your KDR (kill, death ratio) is to grind XP early and unlock your skills to even the playing field.  At the start you’ll have a bit of a disadvantage with equipment until about rank five, then you’ll unlock decent weapons and attachments. Grinding out XP is pretty easy with Orders and Contracts, these side goals can give extra XP or supplies. You can pick up these Orders and Contracts at Headquarters where everyone in the instance will have access.

There are also Divisions- Airborne, Armored, Expeditionary, Infantry, and Armored, each have a special skill set with perks for certain weapons. These are a great way to make the game feel more custom to your play-style. You’ll level these up as you progress naturally, just choose wisely because getting to prestige takes some time.

It wouldn’t be Call of Duty without zombies… The Nazi Zombies in the game is a little more intense than previous Call of Duty releases, making it even more enjoyable.

All in all, I think this is a great game to settle in and explore in my free time, with the upcoming Holidays it could be the perfect escape this season.
